Daniel Finn Circle is a dead-end street of about 975 feet in Pinehurst, running north from Cook Street opposite the end of Valerie Avenue and then west to a turnaround, south of Moseley Street and west of Knoll Street. It was laid out 40 feet wide on the "Definitive Subdivision, D. J. Finn Estates, Billerica, Mass., Lot Layout Plan," drawn by Raymond Engineering Service of 574 Boston Road and dated December 23, 1988, with revisions into 1989. The land, about twelve acres zoned for rural residence, belonged to the Finn family of 52 Cook Street, and the subdivider was the Wildwood Realty Trust of Billerica. The Planning Board approved the plan on August 3, 1989, and it was recorded on August 15, 1989 (Plan Book 170, Plan 52). It divided the tract into nine house lots of about 50,000 square feet on the street, with two more lots on Cook Street.

The plan called the street Danielson Circle, and that name appears in deeds and mortgages from October 1989. The form Daniel Finn Circle was in use from March 1990, and both names appear in the registry until 1992. Both forms recall Daniel J. Finn, who lived at 52 Cook Street in Pinehurst; he was a member of the town's committee of 1954 to 1956 to study the town manager form of government and of the Board of Registrars of Voters in the later 1950s. The assessors date the houses to 1989 and 1990.

At the annual fall town meeting of October 6, 1992 the town accepted Daniel Finn Circle under Article 16, "for its entire length from Cook Street to a cul-de-sac, a distance of approximately 976 feet," "a way 40 feet wide," as shown on the D. J. Finn Estates definitive subdivision plan; the Planning Board recommended it and the vote was unanimous.
